Kaiser Chiefs Singer Ricky Wilson Breaks a Rib Whilst Supporting Green Day

July 30, 2009 by Rich Leave a Comment

Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson has broken a rib whilst performing in the US in support of Green Day at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Wilson fell whilst jumping from the barrier to the stage, breaking his rib in the process.

Ricky Wilson has now received treatment for the break, and Kaiser Chiefs will still be battling on, not cancelling any of the arranged tour dates. Kaiser Chiefs will finish in America with a show at Lollapalooza on August 9th, and then head back to Europe to perform at a number of European festivals throughout the summer (including the Reading and Leeds Festival at the end of August).

The following is a list of the tour dates that the band still has left to play:

31 Jul 2009 – Sommet Center, Nashville, Tennessee
1 Aug 2009 – Gwinnet, Atlanta, Georgia
3 Aug 2009 – St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa, Florida
4 Aug 2009 – American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida
5 Aug 2009 – Amway Arena, Orlando, Florida
7 Aug 2009 – New Orleans Arena
15 Aug 2009 – Gampel Open Air
22 Aug 2009 – Lowlands, Biddinghuizen
26 Aug 2009 – Royal Hall, Villa Marina, Isle Of Man
28 Aug 2009 – Reading Festival
30 Aug 2009 – Leeds Festival
