PSP – The Deadly Art Of Illusion

June 6, 2004 by Rich Leave a Comment

On this single, PSP offer up 2 blasts of pure, unadulterated intensity with 2 amazing tracks that will really blow your socks off. They are definitely one of the most intense bands around and in my opinion, the more intense a band are then the better they are going to be and the more I am going to like them. They have played with great bands such as Beecher and Johnny Truant and I am sure that every live show with this band is something truly special and compelling.

I love both of these tracks but I think that the first track here, the track which they are to release as their single – ‘the deadly art of illusion’ is definitely the better of the two. It is a deadly act of intense hardcore metal with lashings of hate. On this track the band don’t ever seem to stop for breath and to go with this there are some amazing drum beats, awesome guitar riffs, and bass lines that are just out of this world. PSP sound like the angry sort of mob that you wouldn’t want to mess with unless you really wanted to have your head kicked off. At last there is a hardcore metal band where there is not a single trace of Emo in there – this band are undiluted and the result is a sound which is a lot more whole than any of the fashionable Emo-Core bands are producing at the minute. PSP are the full ticket – they play hate filled metalcore that will fill the room with a sound of utter violence – and I love it!

Hell knows how this band managed to come along without me hearing of them as with this kind of music they are sure to leave a trail of destruction in their path wherever they may travel. If you like your music heavy, full of aggression, yet somehow tuneful then this band will probably take your fancy as they do it very well and are probably one of the most talented bands of their genre around at the moment. Expect more to come from this band in the very near future.
