Post Malone Teams Up With Travis Barker for Nirvana Tribute

Post Malone has never been one to shy away from his passion for rock music, and today he took to YouTube along with blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and others for a charity live stream fundraiser, raising money for The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO.

Launching through a number of Nirvana classics including Heart Shaped Box, Come As You Are and About A Girl; Posty showed off some incredibly impressive gravelly rock vocals throughout, helping to raise plenty of money in the process.

Post Malone has previously covered Nirvana’s All Apologies on tour, that wasn’t part of this particular set though, but the tribute clearly had the full backing and support of former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic who posted the following on Twitter:

In total the Nirvana tribute lasted just over an hour, and you can watch/listen to the stream in its entirety below, donating to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO if you wish.

Nirvana’s ‘In Utero’ Released 20 Years ago this September

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘In Utero‘, the third and final Nirvana album will be re-released this September and a rare promotional video has now hit YouTube in order to help market the release.

‘Nevermind‘ celebrated its 20th anniversary with a re-release in 2011, and ‘In Utero‘ now becomes the latest Nirvana album to receive the reissue treatment to mark its massive milestone year.

Below you can watch the amusing promotional video that’s being used to help market the ‘In Utero‘ reissue, a video which includes a snippet from ‘Heart-Shaped Box‘, a huge global success of a single from the album.

Nirvana Frontman Kurt Cobain Died 19 Years Ago Today

It’s hard to believe it, but it’s now 19 years to the day since Nirvana frontman/guitarist Kurt Cobain committed suicide in Seattle, Washington, aged 27.

19 years on then and Kurt Cobain’s music continues to inspire many all around the world; Nirvana’s music still lives on well beyond Kurt’s 27-year lifespan, and the iconic 90s grunge band’s music still sounds just as fresh now as it ever did.

Regardless of what decade you were born in, Nirvana is no doubt a band that will have impacted upon your life in some way. Nirvana’s music has spoken to many throughout the years, something that is attested to in the fact that the band has sold in excess of 75 million albums worldwide over the years, with worldwide sales in excess of 30 million for the band’s classic ‘Nevermind‘ album alone. Kurt’s influence on modern music is huge; it has now been 19 years since his death, but his influence unquestionably remains, countless people are still inspired by Nirvana’s music, and Kurt Cobain continues to impact positively upon the lives of many.

Nirvana Live At Reading 1992 Coming to CD/DVD in November

Nirvana’s legendary performance at Reading 1992 is all set to be released on CD/DVD in November. The audio has been sourced from the original multi-track masters, the video has been colour-corrected, and come November all will have the opportunity to see this fantastic show in its full perfect glory.

In the video below the band can be seen performing ‘School’, and in total there are to be 25 tracks featured on the CD/DVD.
