March 14, 2014 by Rich Leave a Comment

MC Lars

Post-punk laptop rapper MC Lars is currently seeking help finishing and releasing his fourth album ‘The Zombie Dinosaur LP‘, and has turned to Kickstarter in a quest to reach a $10,000 goal to get the album out there.

Confirmed guests for the album include Watsky, Schäffer the Darklord, Mega Ran, Adam WarRock, Shael Riley and Suburban Legends, and those that are familiar with the previous work of MC Lars will be pleased to hear that there are tracks on the album that explain what came next for Hipster Girl and Hearts that Hate frontman Blake.

There are plenty of incentives for those that help MC Lars with this project, such as the chance to be a featured guest performer on the album, to own one of his Zelda cartridge chains, to star in one of his music videos, to get an acrylic painting or a personalized drawing, a chance own one of the computers on which he created one of his previous albums, and even the chance to have him produce and co-write a song with you.

You can take a look at MC Lars’ ‘The Zombie Dinosaur LP‘ Kickstarter page now to find out exactly what’s on offer for those that invest in this project and help MC Lars finish and release his fourth album.

February 27, 2011 by Rich 1 Comment

Slam Dunk Festival’s 10th anniversary looks like it’s going to be a big one, and with a number of top US acts already confirmed including Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, 3OH!3, and Goldfinger; you can be sure that Slam Dunk 2011 is going to be one to remember.

As well as a wide range of talent from across the pond, there’ll also be no shortage of UK talent, with We Are The Ocean, Deaf Havana, and The Skints already amongst those confirmed for the festival.

If it’s pop punk that you’re after, then the news of The Starting Line’s first UK show for over 5 years is sure to excite, as well as the news that Mayday Parade and A Rocket to the Moon will also be over.

The line-up is far from complete at the moment, if you’re anything like me then the confirmed talent will already have you salivating however, and as more acts are confirmed the festival is sure to get all the more awesome.
