Joey Sturgis’ Drumforge now available for pre-order

Joey Sturgis Drumforge

Award-winning producer Joey Sturgis has joined up with fellow producers Joel Wanasek and Joe Wohlitz to create Drumforge, a new sample library complete with a selection of snares, toms, cymbals and kick drums, spanning from the 1940s right through to modern day classics.

This new sample library is available to pre-order now at an introductory price of $259, and will be officially released on May 26th with the price then increasing to $299.

Joey Sturgis had the following to say about the collection:

This library has changed the way I look at mixing drums forever. Not only do I have these great sounds to start with, but now there’s a user friendly system for interacting with multiple microphone setups to help me create more than one tone out of each drum. The possibilities are endless, and with our à la carte store setup, you’ll be able to own only the drums you want to have!

Having released his Gain Reduction vocal plugin earlier in the year, Joey Sturgis is back again with his latest plugin, the JST Clip, a dual stage clipper with oversampling built to help the user achieve sonic perfection.

Joey Sturgis had the following to say about his latest plugin:

JST Clip is my version of a clipper that is built with the mixing and mastering engineer in mind. It’s perfect for achieving punchy drums, loud masters, and crushing sound design.

Having worked with the likes of Born of Osiris, Attila, Emmure, Miss May I, Asking Alexandria, We Came As Romans, Blessthefall, and The Devil Wears Prada, Joey Sturgis has now put together a vocal plugin that places his signature vocal production sound in the hands of the masses.

Well known for creating an incredibly in-your-face vocal tone as a producer/mixer/engineer, Joey Sturgis has now put his experience and expertise working in heavy music to good use by putting out a plugin that provides ease of use that makes it perfect for those interested in home recording, whilst also being of a high enough quality to provide a very useful new plugin for veteran producers alike.

Joey Sturgis had the following to say about the plugin:

When I sat down to design this plugin, I wanted to create something simple and effective that not only serves as a work horse in the mixing environment but also provides a creative mixing experience for the mixing engineer.
