Brad Pitt and Matt Damon to Voice Characters in Happy Feet 2

January 19, 2010 by Rich Leave a Comment

According to Movieline, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon are to provide voices for as yet unknown characters in Happy Feet 2.

Pitt and Damon last worked together on Ocean’s Thirteen, they’re now to link up again however as they lend their voices to the George Miller directed animated film Happy Feet 2 which is due for release on November 28th 2011.

Robin Williams and Elijah Wood will once again be onboard; Miller is seemingly keen to freshen things up a little however and so has added Brad Pitt and Matt Damon to achieve this.

The original Happy Feet film has grossed in excess of $380 million worldwide since its release, and won an Oscar for the Best Animated Feature Film of the Year back in 2007; George Miller will no doubt be hoping that this sequel will be similarly successful.

Slayer Postpones April Tour

January 8, 2010 by Rich Leave a Comment

Tom Araya has been booked in to receive back surgery at the end of the month, and Slayer has therefore been forced to cancel its tour plans for April. Araya had been looking down alternative avenues for treatment, with the problem having not been handled however surgery is now required for the bassist/vocalist.

Slayer manager Rick Sales released the following comment regarding the postponement of Slayer’s scheduled tour:

“As unfortunate as this is for so many people – the Megadeth and Testament camps, the concerts’ promoters, and, of course, the fans – Tom’s health is the number one priority, and this has to happen.”

The plan is to reschedule the tour for later on in 2010.

Future of the Left announces UK Tour for January

January 8, 2010 by Rich Leave a Comment

In support of the ‘Travels With Myself And Another’ studio album, Future of the Left is to hit the road on January 16th, and the tour will run until the 28th when the band will end its run of shows in Cardiff.

Future Of The Left is currently touring in Australia and New Zealand and the plan is to enter the studio in February once the UK tour is finished in order to work on a new album. Andy Falkous had the following to say on the subject of Future of the Left’s next album:

“Travels was, after a difficult gestation period, an album that we are inordinately proud of. Before the process of starting each record I always say I want to write a pop album and then our personalities get in the way. This time I’m hoping to take the thing full circle and to channel the spirit of Freddie Mercury (nb. not Brian May) through Slayer’s backline.”

The following are the UK tour dates that Future of the Left is all set to play this January:

16th JAN – NEWCASTLE – CLUNY
17th JAN – ABERDEEN – TUNNELS

21st JAN – NOTTINGHAM – BODEGA
22nd JAN – LEEDS – COCKPIT
23rd JAN – SHEFFIELD – CORPORATION
28th JAN – CARDIFF- IFOR BACH
