New Madball Album set for Release in October

July 23, 2010 by Rich Leave a Comment

Currently in the studio recording new album ‘Empire‘, Madball has announced that the album will be hitting the stores through Good Fight Music on October 12th.

Erik Rutan (Misery Index, Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore) is the man in charge of production duties for the record, and Freddy Cricien had the following to say about working with Rutan on the record:

Erik has been great to work with. He’s definitely a perfectionist, which I have no problem with. It’s going to benefit us in the end! He’s got his own techniques like everyone does, so he’s going to bring a different dynamic into the sound/mix. I’m excited for people to hear the finish product. I predict it will be very HARD!

Drummer Jay Weinberg (son of Max Weinberg) recently joined the band’s line-up and it’s his drumming that will be heard on the record, and he who will tour with the band when they tour Canada with Comeback Kid in September.
