A new French poster for X-Men Origins: Wolverine has now been released, and with the film due out at the end of April, excitement is most certainly building surrounding the release of this fantastic new film.
Directed by Gavin Hood, the film will secure a European release on April 29th, and will then hit Australia and New Zealand on April 30th, before launching in the States on May 1st.
Hugh Jackman has been excellent in the X-Men films, and I now can’t wait to see him in action starring in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Something tells me that this is going to be the superhero film of the year, so roll on April 29th.

From the director of The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up comes Funny People, a comedy film written, directed and co-produced by Judd Apatow. The film stars Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen, and if you’ve enjoyed Judd Apatow’s films in the past then there’s a good chance that you’ll appreciate this one also.
Battle for Terra, which was originally released in 2007 under the name of Terra, is to finally receive a large scale US release on May 1st 2009. Battle for Terra is a computer generated science fiction film which looks into the lives of Senn and Mala, two teenagers that live on the planet of Terra; a very peaceful planet until humans hit and disrupt the harmony. The voice of Senn is provided by Justin Long, Mala’s voice meanwhile is spoken by Evan Rachel Wood.

Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds is to open at the cinemas on August 21st 2009. The film, which stars amongst others Brad Pitt, is split into five chapters and focuses on two converging storylines. One storyline the film follows is about a group of prisoners that have banded together in order to battle a group of Nazis, and the other looks at a Jewish woman with an aim to avenge the death of her parents at the hands of the said Nazi group.
