How To Use Women’s Players In FC 24 Career Mode

June 23, 2024 by Rich Leave a Comment

Women’s players were first added by EA back in FIFA 16, and it’s currently possible to play with women’s players in kick-off mode, seasons mode and Ultimate Team.

Although there isn’t currently a women’s specific career mode in EA FC, however; this tutorial will guide you through the process of how to transfer women’s players into men’s teams so that, in the absence of a full women’s career mode, you can at least still use women’s players in career mode.

How To Sign Any Player In Football Manager 2024

February 26, 2024 by Rich Leave a Comment

In Football Manager 2024, there’s currently a glitch that essentially allows you to sign any player in the game (as long as they’re actually interested in joining you that is, anyway!)

Setting the initial fee to £0, you then want to add an additional fee of £1k (which you want to pay in 6 instalments of 6 monthly instalments), and a potential future fee of £2.5m once the player has made 50 league appearances.

You should now find that any bid you make will be accepted, but it doesn’t end there as you can also add in an additional clause that’ll require the selling team to continue to contribute 50% of that player’s wages!

The player will still need to have some level of interest in joining you, and you will need to be able to afford at least half of their wages, but making use of this glitch; you can make some absolutely fantastic signings, bringing in players for a mere fraction of what you’d usually be expecting to shell out for them!

Is EAFC the Worst “FIFA” Game in Years?

December 24, 2023 by Rich Leave a Comment

Since EA Sports FC 24 was released back in September, there has been a lot of talk online about how unenjoyable the game is to play. Why is it then that millions of people still persist with it?

A lack of competition could certainly be a major contributing factor. Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series (now eFootball) used to provide EA Sports with serious competition each year; in its current form, eFootball is not the serious challenger to EA Sports that it once was, however, and EA Sports’ grip on the football game market is now stronger than ever.

When you’re not able to get outside and play football, playing the sport in a video game instead can provide a fun alternative, and right now there aren’t too many options that allow you to do that. Football Manager is an extremely deep and impressive video game for exploring tactics and testing out your managerial credentials, it doesn’t allow you to actually take control of the players for yourself though, and as good as it is, it does therefore provide for quite a different experience.

Ultimate Team also has a firm grip on many, providing motivation to play the mode in the form of rewards for completing different objectives. It can be quite fun, but it’s also incredibly addictive, and with the ability to invest real world money to help improve your squad; there’s very real potential to spend big in this mode in your thirst for glory. Opening packs in this mode is a huge draw for some, and certainly another reason that could explain why people that don’t enjoy the game continue to keep sinking time into it.

There’s also a cycle of habit to consider. Do people continue to play the game because they gain genuine enjoyment from it, or are they playing it simply because it’s something that they’ve always done and therefore it’s something that they continue to find themselves drawn back into?

Bromley FC team up with Xbox to provide full-time position to FM expert

November 15, 2023 by Rich Leave a Comment

If you’re a Football Manager fan that’s always felt that you could have something to offer to a real-life football club? Keep reading as this one may well be for you!

For the launch of Football Manager 2024, Bromley FC have teamed up with Xbox to provide one Football Manager gamer with the opportunity to become a full-time, paid tactician for the club.

In order to apply, you’ll first need to win a domestic league title (with any team) and complete the achievement ‘Championes’ in FM24, either on Xbox or PC, and using your Xbox Gamertag. Once you’ve got that first part covered, all you then need to do then is post a one minute video to YouTube/Vimeo, detailing why you feel that you’re the perfect person for the job.

The winning applicant will start with the club from January 2024, working 5 days a week until May 2024. No CV or experience is required, you just need to unlock the achievement, submit your video application, and you’ll then be in with a chance of becoming a member of the Bromley FC staff.

For all those interested; you have until December 4th to finalise your application. Good luck!

Sociable Soccer 24 is coming soon!

October 30, 2023 by Rich Leave a Comment

Sociable Soccer 24 is coming to Steam on November 16th, with Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions soon to follow.

With over 13,000 FIFPRO licensed players, Sociable Soccer 24 will feature a huge number of real world footballers in the game, including the likes of Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland and recent Kopa Trophy winner Jude Bellingham.

Jon Hare, the British designer of the Sensible Soccer franchise, is the main man behind the Sociable Soccer 24 project, and hasn’t held back with his views on other sports titles, suggesting that other companies out there are “inadvertently grooming children as gamblers by packing their overpriced, overhyped simulations full of loot boxes and all manner of money traps”.

Sociable Soccer 24 is daring to do things differently, and if you’re tired of other games draining your bank balance whilst failing to really deliver any sort of factor of fun; this could well be the game for you and is definitely well worth checking out on November 16th.

Sociable Soccer 24 will officially launch at a price point of £24.99 / €29.99 / $29.99.

Saw X Review

October 30, 2023 by Rich Leave a Comment

Acting as a direct sequel to the original 2004 film that started it all; Saw X tells the story of an increasingly frustrated John Kramer, struggling to come to terms with his terminal cancer diagnosis. Ultimately seeking out an experimental medical procedure in Mexico, there’s newfound hope for John, but things don’t exactly go to plan and it soon unravels into a quest for vengeance.

As the series hits double digits, you’d be forgiven for being sceptical that the John Kramer story can still deliver, but Saw X is arguably the best that the franchise has ever had to offer. It’s dark, it’s disturbing, and the initial setup for how the story plays out is genuinely rather impressive and engaging. It’s the longest film in the series, but at no point does it feel like it outstays its welcome.

Saw X feels logical, it’s different, and with Tobin Bell more central than ever and putting in an absolutely incredible performance as John Kramer; this feels like an extremely special moment in the series, celebrating the franchise in style and doing it extremely proud.

By taking things back to the start, Saw X is able to wipe out a lot of the fluff that came later in the series, put the focus on John Kramer, and provide you with a logical backstory and reasoning as to why he feels that the various characters depicted here need to face the consequence of their actions. With some extremely brutal displays of gore and intensely gruesome depictions of torture; Saw X feels like a triumphant return for the franchise, bringing things back to basics and simultaneously showcasing Tobin Bell’s craft at his absolute charismatic best.

Whether you’re a franchise veteran or entirely new to the series; there’s something here for everyone, and Saw X can just as easily be viewed in isolation as it can be appreciated by long-term fans wanting to go a little more inside the mind and processes of the Jigsaw Killer, John Kramer.

Saw X is available to buy and rent now through Lionsgate UK, and if you’re a fan of horror or have ever had any love or appreciation for the franchise; this one is definitely well worth checking out.

Rating: 4/5
