Halloween Kills Delayed Until 2021

July 9, 2020 by Rich Leave a Comment

Due to the current pandemic, the sequel to 2018’s Halloween has officially been delayed until October 15th 2021, it has been confirmed.

With Jame Lee Curtis once again returning as Laurie Strode, the film was set to release later this year; due to ongoing concerns about the number of people it’d actually reach with a theatrical release this year, however, a decision has now been taken to move the release to next Halloween instead.

Halloween Ends will then follow in October 2022, and if you’d like to see a new trailer for Halloween Kills, confirming the film’s new release date? You can do so below!

July 8, 2020 by Rich Leave a Comment

The latest batch of free games just became available with PS Plus, as Call of Duty WW2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are now no longer available, making way for NBA 2K20 and Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration.

Fresh from the reveal of Kobe Bryant as the cover star for NBA 2K21 which is due out on September 4th, NBA 2K20 will now be available to download for all PS Plus members, with both new games remaining available through the service until August 3rd.

If you’re a basketball fan, or in fact just a fan of sports games in general; NBA 2K20 is definitely well worth picking up. It’s visually stunning, incredibly fun to play, and if you’re a PS Plus member that doesn’t already own it? There’s no real reason not to at least try it out!

Be sure to head on over to the Playstation Store now if you’re curious to give either of these two games a go!

Kobe Bryant to grace the cover of NBA 2K21 in Mamba Forever Edition

July 5, 2020 by Rich 1 Comment

After previously featuring on the cover of NBA 2K10 and the legend edition of NBA 2K17; Kobe Bryant will now once again be gracing the cover of 2K’s basketball game, in a Mamba Forever edition of NBA 2K21 set to release on September 4th.

The passing of Kobe Bryant hit the world incredibly hard back in January when he was involved in a fatal helicopter crash that took the lives of all nine people onboard, and it had since been speculated that 2K Sports would look to memorialise the basketball icon in a legend edition of NBA 2K21.

Zion Williamson and Damian Lillard have also been named as cover stars for NBA 2K21, with the game all set for release on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X.

In addition to announcing Kobe Bryant as the cover star of NBA 2K21, 2K will also be providing a special Diamond or Amethyst Kobe to owners of NBA 2K20 that can now be acquired in the game’s MyTeam mode using the locker code NBA-2K21-MAMBA-FOREVER.

We honor Kobe Bryant as our #NBA2K21 Cover Athlete for the Current Gen Mamba Forever Edition & Next Gen Mamba Forever Edition 💜💛 Use this code for chance at Diamond or Amethyst Kobe.

EA Sports Responds to Madden 21 Franchise Mode Disgruntlement (#FixMaddenFranchise)

July 3, 2020 by Rich Leave a Comment

Fans of Madden franchise mode took to Twitter recently in a bid to #FixMaddenFranchise, with the hashtag ultimately becoming the number one trending topic in the United States.

Just as with FIFA career mode, Madden franchise mode has long been neglected, and when the updates to the mode were announced on June 30th for Madden 21 franchise mode; fans of the game mode were not at all pleased with the news.

With the list of fixes looking more like patch notes than updates for a brand new video game, the Madden franchise community was understandably upset, and the previously mentioned hashtag began to start flooding the internet in the franchise mode communities quest to have their voices heard and make EA Sports aware of their frustrations and concerns.

We did it. In midsts of a global pandemic, we got #FixMaddenFranchise to #1 trending in the entire country. Your consumers are THAT ANGRY.

Your move, @EAMaddenNFL. pic.twitter.com/7ARW5O5lIR

— RBT (@SamuelBrownRBT) July 1, 2020

With mounting pressure to address the concerns of the community, Madden’s executive producer Seann Graddy subsequently took to Twitter and had the following to say about the situation, making the assertion that the franchise community is critically important to them:

— Madden NFL 21 (@EAMaddenNFL) July 2, 2020

With Madden 21 set for release next month, in all probability it’s a little bit too late in the day now to be expecting any substantial changes for Madden 21 franchise mode. EA definitely talk a good game though and with the concerns of the community addressed in this video, hopefully moving forward there will be more time and resources put into Madden’s franchise mode and the community won’t be left quite so disappointed for future Madden releases.

FIFA 21 career mode news is set to arrive next month, so here’s hoping we won’t be back with news of another community led movement come August…

The Jordan 1 Royal Toe Releases Today

May 9, 2020 by Rich Leave a Comment

The Jordan 1 Royal Toe is released today, complete with some beautiful colour blocking making it look somewhat like a reverse Fragment (albeit without the extremely high price tag).

They have a very clean look about them and if you’re a fan of past Jordan 1 releases such as the Game Royal’s, the Royal’s, or the aforementioned Fragment’s; these should also be right up your street with their wonderful mix of game royal, black and white.

They feature a leather tongue tag as has now become somewhat standard, come with two pairs of laces included (the black that can be seen already laced in the image above, plus a spare set in game royal), and will of course fit true to size as is always the case with a Jordan 1.

Going on sale at 8am UK time, you’ll have to be extremely quick if you’re planning on picking these up as they’ll no doubt sell out straight away, so make sure you’re on the Sneakrs app as soon as the clock turns 8 for the best chance of receiving that all important Got ‘Em!
