Maximum Football Acquired by Modus Games : New Game Coming Soon!

September 1, 2021 by Rich Leave a Comment

After it was announced earlier in the year that Canuck Play, the company behind Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football, had ceased operations, it seemed as though the Maximum Football series would sadly be no more.

It has now been revealed that Modus Games has officially acquired the Maximum Football series, however, with a new game already in development and said to be returning soon.

The next game in the series is being developed by Gamecan and FUN Labs, with the promise of a completely rebuilt gaming experience featuring fresh graphics and visuals, all new character models and stadiums, and improved on-field gameplay.

Christina Seelye, CEO of Modus Games, had the following to say about their plans for the future of Maximum Football:

“We are looking forward to taking an already dynamic sports game and putting our stamp on it… We’re working to build on the strong foundation and feature set of previous Maximum Football games, while adding community requested features and mechanics to build the ultimate football sandbox experience.”

No official release date for the next Maximum Football game has yet been confirmed.

FIFA and eFootball Face Some Fresh Competition?

August 25, 2021 by Rich Leave a Comment

After the announcement of Goals the other week, it seems that FIFA and eFootball will soon have even further competition, as another new football game has now been announced at Gamescom 2021 in the form of UFL.

They’ve already partnered with West Ham United, they’re sponsoring the incredibly exciting Hashtag United, and despite having revealed very little about the game itself so far; they’ve already created a huge amount of hype around the release with their “fair to play” tagline.

UFL will be free-to-play, the game will run on the Unreal Engine and Strikerz Inc. are definitely making a bold statement with their aim to change the world of football simulation forever.

If you want to learn more about the game as soon as new information becomes available then I’d definitely recommend registering your interest at their official website now.

August 22, 2021 by Rich Leave a Comment

It has been revealed at WWE SummerSlam that WWE 2K22 will be arriving in March 2022.

Ordinarily we expect WWE games to drop in October, after WWE 2K21 was cancelled last year, however, the release date for WWE 2K22 had been slightly uncertain. We now know the release date they’re shooting for though and that we can expect more information is January.

WWE 2K22 is currently a work in progress, but the visuals that have been revealed so far look incredibly promising and we should hopefully be in store for a huge treat come March.
