Why You Shouldn’t Buy FIFA 23 For The Nintendo Switch

September 5, 2022 by Rich Leave a Comment

When EA started releasing legacy editions of FIFA for the Nintendo Switch back in FIFA 20; the writing was already on the wall that substantial development had ceased and there would more than likely never be any major upgrades for the series ever again.

Fast forward to FIFA 23, EA still persists with the ‘legacy edition’ moniker and kits, clubs, and updated player rosters aside; FIFA 23 for the Nintendo Switch is essentially the same game as FIFA 19 for the Nintendo Switch.

The game retails for £34.99, but comes complete with none of the features that EA have added on other platforms in recent years. There’s no Volta to be found here, no Pro Clubs, and no create a club functionality for career mode. Instead, it looks and plays more like FIFA 16 than any of the more recent offerings in the series.

If you own any of the previous FIFA titles for the Nintendo Switch, or have the ability to play the game on any other platform? FIFA 23 for the Nintendo Switch is probably best avoided.
