Slipknot Announce 25th Anniversary Edition of Self-Titled Debut Album

July 24, 2025 by Rich Leave a Comment

Slipknot have officially announced that a deluxe reissue of their seminal debut album will be coming this summer, with the album all set for release via Roadrunner Records on September 5th.

The reissue will feature a number of alternate versions and previously unreleased takes, including a demo of Prosthetics that you can check out below.

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root had the following to say about the band’s self-titled debut:

We loved what we did with the first record but we didn’t even know if there was gonna be anything after that… We just wanted people to hear it. Selling out of records and shows, having successful tours– those are goals for any band. But the dream scenario in some ways, came true for us.

Thrice to release new album ‘Horizons/West’

July 23, 2025 by Rich Leave a Comment

Thrice will release a brand new album via Epitaph Records later this year, with the new album Horizons/West set to serve as a companion piece to 2021s Horizons/East.

Horizons/West will feature a total of eleven tracks, and is currently set for release on October 3rd.

Lead vocalist Dustin Kensrue had the following to say about the upcoming album:

A lot of this record is about parsing reality. We’re constantly being influenced by algorithms, by fear, by our own social echo chambers. Horizons/West tries to pull the curtain back on some of that. We’ve always just followed our curiosity, wherever it leads. We want to keep growing, exploring, and making something that feels honest to who we are right now.

New Mario Strikers Alternative Out Now… On Xbox?!

January 31, 2025 by Rich Leave a Comment

A new game has appeared on the Xbox store, complete with a rather familiar looking title…

Mariostro Strikers: Soccer League is available now for the mere price of £3.29.

Don’t all dive into the thrilling world of arcade-style soccer with [Your Game Name Here] just yet though… Because even if you do load it up on Xbox, apparently the controls don’t work.

Which, taking a look through the screenshots, kind of makes sense… Because the Xbox doesn’t actually have a C button… And those appear to be touch screen controls.

So I guess if you’re looking for a Mario Strikers alternative on Xbox? Probably keep looking.

Should You Be Saving Your Hourglasses in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

January 2, 2025 by Rich Leave a Comment

Is it worth using your pack hourglasses right now in Pokémon TCG Pocket, or should you be keeping hold of them and finding out what’s next before deciding how you’re going to use them?

A new set of cards is rumoured to be releasing towards the end of January, and between now and then you’ve got over 50 opportunities to open packs, even if you don’t use any of your hourglasses.

It’s therefore quite realistically possible that you should be able to collect most cards from the Mythical Island expansion before the end of January, and keeping hold of all your hourglasses is probably the smartest move possible right now.

It’s definitely not as fun as frantically ripping your way through them though, so will you be favouring instant gratification? Or have you already started preparing for what’s next?

Do You Need to Spend Money on Pokémon TCG Pocket?

December 11, 2024 by Rich Leave a Comment

If you want to collect every single card currently available in Pokémon TCG Pocket? It probably won’t come cheap as right now you’ll need to open around $3000 worth of packs to do so.

Do you need to spend money on the game though? And should you?

That’s what we’ll be taking a look at here, exploring whether or not you’ll be at a serious disadvantage right now if you don’t invest, and also the potential pitfalls if you do.

Watch the first ever episode of the Pokémon anime series (Indigo League)

December 7, 2024 by Rich Leave a Comment

Pokémon TV is officially now back, enabling you to watch full episodes of the Pokémon anime series right now, completely for free, over on YouTube.

They’re starting out from the beginning, uploading episodes from the initial Indigo League series (the first episode of which, Pokémon, I Choose You!, can be found embedded above), and presumably, in time, they’ll be working right up to the present day and providing a definitive destination online for you to seek out the entire series.

Things started out a little bit strangely, with the first episode uploaded being Season 1 Episode 5, Showdown in Pewter City, things seem to have switched to a chronological order now, however, and presumably that’s the way that things will remain moving forwards.

What’s your favourite ever season of the Pokémon anime series?
