Changes to Xbox Live Gold now live

June 4, 2014 by Rich Leave a Comment

Xbox Live Games With Gold June 2014

Changes have been made to the way that Xbox Live Gold operates, meaning that entertainment apps and experiences that were previously only available to those with an active Xbox Live Gold subscription have now been made open to everyone.

For those with an active subscription, exclusive discounts are now available on games in the Xbox Store with Deals with Gold, and Xbox One owners will be pleased to hear that Xbox One games are now available with Games with Gold as Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault have both now become available for download.

Whilst Xbox One games have now been added to Games with Gold, Xbox 360 owners will be pleased to hear that the games will still be continuing for the Xbox 360 as well, with Dark Souls currently available until June 15th, and Charlie Murder and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition then to become available between June 16th and June 30th.

It should be noted that although Xbox 360 games downloaded with Games With Gold are then attached to your account regardless of whether or not you later cancel your subscription, an active Xbox Live Gold subscription is required in order to continue to have access to any Xbox One games downloaded as a part of Games with Gold.
