DJ AM Found Dead in his Apartment

August 29, 2009 by Rich Leave a Comment

dj-amAdam Goldstein, also known as DJ AM, has been found dead in his New York City apartment. Goldstein opened the DJ Hero launch party with Travis Barker back in June, and also contributed an original mix and is due to be a playable DJ in the Activision video game due for release in October.

Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein were involved in a plane crash back in September 2008 in which four people died. Barker and Goldstein were the only survivors of the crash, with Travis Barker suffering second and third degree burns.

Travis Barker is yet to comment on the death of DJ AM, he and Adam Goldstein were good friends however, and this news is sure to hit the Blink 182 drummer hard.

Sources suggest that drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, and according to the New York Post, the police are currently considering the possibility of an overdose.
