Stuart Cable, founding member of the Welsh rock band Stereophonics, has died in his home at the age of 40. Cable played with the band from 1992 through 2003, and had since found a career in radio where he worked for XFM South Wales and BBC Radio Wales amongst others.
A post mortem is due to be carried out at a later date, it is understood that Stuart Cable had been at the local pub on the night of his death however and it is believed that Cable had been drinking heavily. Stuart Cable’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
Our thoughts are with Stuart Cable’s friends and family at this sad time, and the world of rock is in mourning at it has lost another of its great drummers.
