The Noisettes – Don’t Give Up

The Noisettes have recently signed to Vertigo Records and will be releasing their debut album ‘What’s The Time Mr. Wolf?’ in early 2007. ‘Don’t Give Up’ is a track from the album and is our first glimpse of what this great new band have to offer. This is a powerful single from the band and is an excellent first offering in my opinion as it gives a good idea of what the band are about and what sort of sound we can expect from the album when it is released. With a powerful back beat and strong guitar riffs coming through, the mood is set nicely for front woman Shingai’s vocals to flow over the top.

The Noisettes are a band to look out for I feel as with this first offering they show that they have a lot of power to their sound and a highly distinguishable vocalist; a formula that is sure to guide them to success. With the NME already on their side hailing them to be ‘One of rock n roll’s best kept secrets’, and a current tour taking them across the UK with Muse, it is only a matter of time before the band explode into the spotlight.
